Prentice ManDrell Aiken Sr. (“Drell”)

Early Life
Prentice ManDrell Aiken Sr., affectionately known as Drell, was born on November 26, 1973, in Antreville, South Carolina, to Raymond and Belvion Aiken. From the age of three, his remarkable talents began to shine, marking him as a child with a rare and divine gift.

First Awakening of Talent
On one memorable Easter Sunday morning, Drell’s musical journey truly began. His older brother fell ill, and young Drell was asked to step in. To the astonishment of his father, the congregation, and a room full of witnesses, his natural ability unfolded before their eyes. It was clear that this young man carried a unique and God-given talent.

Musical Growth
At six years old, Drell began playing the drums—without ever taking a single lesson. His gift was instinctive, anointed, and undeniable. By the age of ten, under the guidance of his older brother Rico Aiken, he learned to play the bass guitar. This became the foundation of his personal musical identity, allowing him to shape his own sound and style.

Career and Legacy
As his skills expanded, Drell grew into a multifaceted artist: musician, songwriter, composer, and producer. His creativity and leadership led him to establish Hiya Call’N Productionz, where he serves as CEO and executive producer. Through this platform, he nurtures his vision and shares his unique sound with the world.

Impact
Drell’s journey is a testament to the power of natural talent, faith, and family support. From a small town in Antreville, South Carolina to the broader music world, he has introduces a legacy of originality, perseverance, and inspiration. His odyssey continues to encourage others to embrace their gifts and pursue their calling with passion.

At an early age, he began singing and traveling with his family to many different cities and states, singing and playing for audiences in small local assemblies up to venues and arenas. From there he began to perform and play with many different artist and groups. He and his brother managed and started others groups of their own, such as: Reek and Drell, The Anointed Ones, Soul Purpose, and RIP. This allowed them to stretch their style from Southern soul and Quartet, music towards a broader direction being inclusive with many genres and styles. Through this expansion, he found himself being involved with many artists on a local and professional level. It was and still is a pleasure to experience meeting and being involved with numerous great singers and musicians from all walks of life!

He went from just singing and playing to hearing and feeling something from within him that wanted to be released. Something different, something original, something special, something with a call… Something with purpose, Something with a style, and deeper love from music. That was a brand that was imprinted in his heart mobilize him to a call To be greater with his musical abilities. That something then and now is known as “Hiya Call’N Productionz.” This is when he permitted the Producing call within him to be unleashed. By doing it the way GOD had intended, caused him to seek his characterization of writing, singing, and musicianship to be used It was and is and unidentified genre that came along that shall be known as “LYFE”.

After being rejected by several producersstudios and fellow laborers in the field of music, he was inspired to see after doing this thing. He loves so much on his own. He didn’t invest it in his own time to learn and started buying pieces of equipment and hardware one piece at a time until he was able to have his own place to work and make music on his own. A great influence and mentor in this challenge was the world renowned Ray Braswell, Jr. of Remarkable Studios in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He took the time to share and help DRELL to expand his horizons, and strive for a deeper passion in the music Universe. It was from that moment for that things really begin to takeoff and meet the other opportunities were presented for this long lived dream to start finally coming true. Here in imprinting the signature and seal of a thriving company Hiya Call’N Productionz.
